How to fix it

Your browser's steps are first. Open another browser's steps if yours isn't listed.

Your browser is sending Global Privacy Control. Recording doesn't start while that signal is on, so turning off an ad blocker isn't enough. Turn the signal off in your browser's settings, or in the extension that sends it (for example Privacy Badger or DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials).

Brave Your browser

Brave blocks recording with its built-in Shields, even with no extensions installed. Adblock-Only mode keeps Brave's ad blocking on and turns off the protections that stop recording.

  1. Open Brave's menu (☰, top right) and choose Settings, then Shields. Or copy this and paste it into the address bar: brave://settings/shields
  2. Find Adblock-Only mode and switch on Use Adblock-Only mode.
  3. Come back to this tab and select I've changed it — refresh.

Adblock-Only mode applies to every site, not just this one, and Brave warns that it removes its other privacy protections. You can switch it off again in the same place.
